上海小南国 Shanghai Min Xiao Nan Guo @ Sanlitun Beijing, China

i ate so much when i was in china. the meal at shanghai xiao nan guo wasnt my most expensive or fanciest meal I had when i was in beijing, but it was def my FAVE one!

decoration is on minimalistic side. i liked the ambience a lot, very clean, spacious, elegant, and quiet. shanghai xiao nan guo offers shanghai classics. its a very well managed chain from shanghai and consistently delivers fresh and delicious Shanghai cuisine and quick friendly professional service. one of my fave spots in town for shanghai cuisine.

we ordered a lot for just 2 people cuz i freaking wanted EVERYTHING!

  1. What do you use to photograph your food (I’m you have covered this elsewhere but I can’t remember). I always feel a bit weird taking my SLR into restaurants.

  2. Thanks for dropping by. I love your food shots. While I don’t mind using the big DSLR, I’ve been getting some pretty nice shots lately with a Canon G11 on macro. Got hungry looking at your pics of the juicy dumplings. Will be home soon and they are on my list.
