Helping Hands | Monkey Helpers’ Annual Food Festivale

we were invited to Monkey Helpers’ Annual Food Festivale event last weekend, but unfortunately i couldnt make it. pork belly attended the event by himself and took some pix with his iphone. im drooling from looking at the pix.

‘Monkey Helpers is a non-profit organization that helps adults with spinal cord injuries and other mobility impairments live more independent and engaged lives.’ Since 1979, they have been providing, free of charge, highly trained capuchin monkeys to individuals living with physical disabilities across the country.

Monkey Helpers’ Annual Food Festivale is one of their charity events: a night with Boston’s finest restaurants such as mistral, sorellina, masa, basho, teatro, mooo…, l’andana, rialto, cinquecento, trade, konditor meister, and live music & specialty drinks.

tuna tartare from sorellina – raw, hand cut, sushi grade, spicy mostarda aioli and chilli vinegar

house made ricotta bruschetta w/ figs & harvested honey from L’andana

wild mushroom empanadas – caramelized onions and feta cheese

duck confit with wild mushroom cous cous ‘risotto’ parmesan & black truffle from mistral
pork belly said this was mind blowing. umm im jealous

shrimp ceviche

ceviche with dukkah, harrisa, and lime from trade

red wine poached pears with whipped gorgonzola & olive oil crostini from cinquecento

butternut squash agnolotti, sage brown butter, fried sage.
