Chilli Duck | Back Bay Boston, MA

quick lunch near work with a friend. chilli duck offers a very limited lunch menu unlike thai basil on newbury st, but i believe the quality and freshness of the ingredients are better. relatively fast service for lunch. ugh i love thai food.

Drunken Noodles Stir-fried flat rice noodles with seafood, egg, bamboo shoots and assorted vegetables in a Thai spicy basil sauce.
seafood was relatively fresh. nicely flavored with pleasant basil fragrance. texture of the noodles was on point. just the right amount of oiliness.

Stir-fried with chicken, bell peppers, basil leaves, rhizome and young pepper corns in a hot chili sauce.
chicken wasnt as tender as i would like them to be. appreciated the spiciness and richness of the sauce. somehow tasted more like curry but i didnt mind it. sweet and milky while still a savory dish overall. so satisfying over rice. in fact im not even sure if this was what i originally ordered Pad-Med-Prik-Thai-On. oh well

  1. Fantastic food photos as always. Makes me want to come to Boston on a “food tour”.
BTW, like the black background of your theme. It really makes your photos pop even more.
