if you love sake, sakagura is a must visit in new york city. their one of a kind drink menu consists of over 200 kinds of carefully selected sakes.

ive never seen such an extensive sake list so i was overwhelmed. my friend and i wanted something bubbly and refreshing, so i picked the mio sparkling sake and it was outstanding. very fruity, soft and smooth, exactly what we were looking for.

the food did not disappoint either. everything we ordered was delicious and very well made.

the atmosphere was very laid back, but the service was def on point and attentive: we were given an “Oshibori” (wet towel) to clean their hands with and our glasses were never empty.

sakagura is probably my favorite izakaya in nyc right now. it is located in a basement. no cellphone signal so you wont get distracted by the outside world. just relax and enjoy the sake, food, and your company.
