Fine Dining at Home with Private/Personal Chef Bing Liu | Boston, MA

Have you thought about hiring a personal chef to come to your comfortable home and cook an exquisite for your family and friends? Want to surprise and spoil your parents by having a professional chef cook for them? Can you imagine the dinner, a 10-course extravagant tasting menu, tailored to your specific taste and needs, better yet, at a very affordable price?

Last week, I witnessed Chef Bing made all these wishes possible at a private dinner event. It was an eye-opening experience that I can’t wait to share with you guys.

Chef Bing’s background: with a Le Cordon Bleu Paris diploma, Chef Bing has worked at Corton and Dovetail (both Michelin-starred) in new york city as well as Taillevent and Chocolaterie by Jean Charles Rochoux in Paris. Following his passion for food and cooking, he started his new venture: the Fugu truck, aiming to bring authentic asian street food to boston. He also works as a private chef and some of his sample menus, ranging from small party bites to 10-course tasting menus, are available at  http://www.kitchensurfing.com/fugufoods

Without further ado, please join me on this photo journey of Chef Bing’s astonishing creations.

Everything was exquisite. Chef Bing was very efficient, accommodating, warm, friendly, and professional. Not only did he do an incredible job cooking, his assistant also provided great service. They took care of everything, even washed all the dishes and left the kitchen spotless by the end of the night. This allowed the guests could just sit back, relax and fully enjoy their dinner with family and friends. All the guests were extremely satisfied with the food, service, and the private dining experience. The guests told Chef Bing that it was one of the best meals they’ve ever had, which is not surprising after witnessing it myself.

  1. Amazing! I think you can be fully impressed with a Michelin starred chef in the comfort of his own professional kitchen, but to go into someone’s home and do that to such a high standard (albeit with some of his own equipment) that’s impressive! And you don’t often get to photograph the chef at his work completely also – even if he preps things in front of you, there are corners where he’s able to do some of the prep beforehand or away from the “stage” as it were.
Did he bring a lot of his own stuff, crockery, pans etc? Did he ask for the kitchen to be cleared for him in advance? I imagine he already prepped the basics of the ingredients beforehand?
Beautiful photos by the way, pity we don’t meet the chef – would be interesting to see his expression 😉

  2. Chef Bing Liu looks like he’s putting so much heart into what he is creating. Cooking is love and you captured that in the pictures. Wonderful looking food; wonderful pictures.

  3. those scallops look amazing, beautiful sear.. seems the restaurants we’ve been to lately have been too afraid to cook scallops….. always enjoy your pictures and commentary… keep up the good work 🙂
